Fundamentals of Aviation Library Collection, Development and Organisation
This programme provides a practical guide to help all those who need to set up and manage a specialist library and information service within the aviation industry and similar organisations, irrespective of subject background.
It offers fundamental support to people who have qualifications but no experience in setting up such a service, and those who have had no training to carrying out this specialist process. Our facilitators have many years’ experience of setting up information services for a wide range of organisations in the UK, US, Canada and other developed and developing nations.
The programme guides delegates to tackle the many tasks and responsibilities needed to create and manage a successful library and information service – irrespective of size – and it provides them with a step-by-step guide through the processes involved.
The training pack contains useful sample documents and information centred brochure and materials for future references. Delegates also receive lists of basic reference materials; sources and suppliers; key search engines; and a quick guide to library basics such as filing, repairs, loans and reference services.
This is a vital guide for anyone, whether an information professional or not, facing the challenge of setting up, managing and coordinating the activities of a library information collection and organisation services.
